In 2007, shortly after I graduated performing arts college, I quit dancing and pursued Acting and Singing only. Despite being a triple threat, I quickly found through endless cattle calls, that no one wanted a fat dancer. The culture was palpable-casting directors were ruthless, and I quickly gave up trying to stand out in a sea of straight sized dancers.

Flash forward to 2016 when I took a course with (my dear friend) @bellejumelles to get back into burlesque. In 6 short weeks my passion for dance was reborn, and I’ve been dancing across stages as a headliner, feature performer, and proud QUINTUPLE THREAT all over the world ever since.

I guess it just goes to show you that cattle calls aren’t the only way for a performer to get booked-that hard work really DOES pay off, and that fat bodies deserve to take up time in the spotlight just as much as thin bodies do 😘

Ivory is a multi discipline performer known best for her booty shakin', shenanigan making, and a voice that just won’t quit. A singer/model/actor/dancer/body positive advocate and graduate of Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, this former Miss Canada Plus has graced stages across North America, into the UK and the Caribbean, appeared in print media such as the Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, Globe & Mail and National Post, and across numerous TV Networks. An archer, equestrian, axe thrower and firebreather, Ivory boasts a spectacular bag of tricks which are sure to wow any crowd!
