Love is a rainbow - A short Reflection and Pictorial of Our Time Celebrating Pride

Celebrating PRIDE is a meaningful event for us at Appeeling.  We remember and respect the origins of this celebration and applaud those who continue to champion progress and equality for every-body. There quite simply is no other time of the year when love is so open and free. How beautiful it is to see people walk with the confidence of being able to be 'free to be me'.

Pride weekend fills us with so much love, many lessons and a fierce determination to continue to be champions of body positivity.  We connected with old friends and made new ones. We shared stories, struggles and celebrations. But most of all, we were reminded that we are not alone, we are worthy and we are loved.

There are many moments I am proud of Appeeling and this past weekend is one of the biggest moments.

We are so happy to have shared our time with our incredible team without whom our presence would be so less colourful and fun: @zyraleevanity; @pureivorydotca @softserve @yallayafatima @shanbambanana 

We were so happy this year to extend our Pride celebrations beyond Toronto and share our message with Minneapolis Pride as well! How incredible is that? One of our greatest gifts this year is our friendship with @jmaophotos.  His creativity is second to none and he, like I, believe in the power of positive connection.  His passion for our brand and to make the difference led to the creation of a lasting impression on the streets of Minneapolis.

The only downside of such a fabulous weekend is that it came to an end.  Packing up our pop-up store and saying good bye is such a hard thing to do. But how lucky are we that can take this feeling and carry it through the year ahead until we unpack the store again only to refuel our body positivity fire yet again.
