Sparkle, Strength, and the Story Within

This is my beautiful mother, on the night the idea for Appeeling was born.

That evening was filled with laughter, love, and a little bit of sparkle. I had bought pasties to share with friends and family at what had become a tradition, my “booby party.” It was a celebration I held before each surgery during my breast cancer journey. A moment to reclaim joy, femininity, and control in the face of something that tried to take it all away.

And through every moment of that journey, she was there.

This incredible, loving woman has held my hand through every birth, every surgery, and ultimately, the launch of this business. She has always believed in me and always encouraged my vision to spread positivity, light, and confidence, no matter the obstacle.

That night, something shifted.

Instead of buying pasties, I decided I would design them myself. I wanted to create more than just a product, I wanted to share my own brand of sparkle. I wanted to build a community of empowered, fearless fashionistas who celebrate their bodies exactly as they are.

Appeeling was born from that intention.

But life has a way of rewriting the script.

Yesterday, when we should have been celebrating our Irish heritage, my mother faced her first breast cancer surgery.

And my heart aches.

I truly believed that I had fought hard enough—twice—that no one I loved would ever have to walk this path. But here we are.

So today, I hold her hand.

Today, I fight for her, with her.

And today, more than ever, I am reminded why Appeeling exists. To remind every person, in every moment, that our bodies—no matter what they endure—are beautiful, resilient, and worthy of love.

At Appeeling, this belief extends beyond words.

We proudly support Look Good Feel Better, a national charitable program that helps women manage the appearance-related effects of cancer. A portion of our profits goes directly to this incredible organization, because it truly takes a community to lift one another up—to provide support, to inspire confidence, and to help each other reclaim self-love.

This is more than a brand.

This is a promise.
